Where does Philadelphia cream cheese come from?
Philadelphia cream cheese is named after the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where it was first created in 1872 by William Lawrence.
Although the brand is now owned by Kraft Heinz, it is still produced in Philadelphia. While there are factories elsewhere in the US and abroad, the iconic product has its roots firmly planted in the City of Brotherly Love.
