How to Make a Crispy Baked Potato
A baked potato is a simple side dish that complements most any meat meal. Put a new spin on this classic vegetable by preparing a crispy-skinned version. This potato is buttery and delicious, with just a little crunch. Add your favorite toppings -- cheese and bacon bits, salsa, or the traditional butter and sour cream.
Things You'll Need
- Potatoes
- Seasoned salt
- Butter
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350 F. Wash the potatoes well, cut in half and set aside.
-
Melt butter and pour it into a baking pan. Sprinkle seasoned salt on top. Use 1 cup of butter for 5 potatoes in a large pan. Adjust the amount of butter and the size of the pan as needed for more or fewer potatoes.
-
Arrange the potatoes cut-side down in the pan, leaving space in between so they cook evenly. Bake 30 to 40 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and the inside is done.
