Where is a platypus in food web?

Platypus occupy several trophic levels, consuming a wide range of aquatic invertebrates. They use their specialized bills and electroreception to detect prey, ranging from insect larvae, small crustaceans, and molluscs, to aquatic insect larvae, freshwater shrimp, beetles and worms. Platypus are thus considered secondary and tertiary consumers in the food web. In some ecosystems, they may also occupy a top predator role, preying upon smaller fish, tadpoles, and other small vertebrates.
