What did Robert Falcon Scott eat?

Scott took ponies, motor sledges and dogs northwards towards the South Pole. He used a combination of rations, relying initially on his sledge dogs to supply meat until they got to the polar plateau, where the weather was too harsh for them to survive. During the polar journey the diet was based on pemmican, with frequent hot drinks of Bovril and Horlicks.
