What do Hammer Head Sharks eat?

Hammerhead sharks are carnivores and opportunistic predators, meaning they will eat whatever prey is available. Their diet consists mainly of fish, including bony fish such as mackerels, herrings, sardines, and anchovies. They also prey on crustaceans, mollusks, and other marine invertebrates, as well as smaller sharks and rays. Hammerhead sharks are also known to scavenge on dead or dying fish and other animals. They have been known to hunt in groups, using their specialized head shape and wide-set eyes to encircle and trap prey.
