What is monster-jam?

Monster Jam is a live motorsport event featuring modified trucks, ATVs, and dirt bikes performing stunts and racing on a dirt track or an arena of dirt, mud, sand, and other materials. The trucks, known as monster trucks, are usually modified pickup trucks or SUVs with giant tires, large engines, and enhanced suspensions that enable them to perform jumps, wheelies, and other difficult maneuvers.

Monster Jam events typically involve several competitions and exhibitions, including:

1. Freestyle: Monster trucks perform individual "freestyle" runs, where they showcase their skills in jumping, performing stunts, and entertaining the audience. Each truck has a limited time to impress the judges and the audience with their tricks and creativity.

2. Racing: Monster trucks compete in head-to-head racing on a dirt track, racing for the fastest time and maneuvering around obstacles.

3. Two-Wheel Skills: Monster trucks must balance and drive on only two wheels for as long as possible.

4. Donut Competition: Monster trucks compete to perform the largest and longest continuous donuts (spinning in a circle) on the dirt track.

5. Tug of War: Two monster trucks compete in a towing challenge to see which truck can pull the other a predetermined distance.

6. High Jump: Monster trucks aim to clear a progressively raised bar set at various heights.

Monster Jam events often include other entertainment such as pyrotechnics, music performances, and interactive fan experiences. The sport has a large fan base and holds events in stadiums and arenas across North America, Europe, and other parts of the world.
