How do you remove melon stains?
To remove melon stains, follow these steps:
1. Blot the stain immediately with a clean cloth or paper towel. Don't rub, as this can spread the stain.
2. Rinse the stain with cold water. Hold the stained fabric under a stream of cold water for several minutes.
3. Apply a pre-treatment stain remover. Spray or rub a pre-treatment stain remover onto the stain, and let it sit for the recommended amount of time.
4. Wash the fabric in the hottest water recommended for the fabric. Add a heavy-duty detergent, and make sure to rinse the fabric thoroughly.
5. Check the stain before drying the fabric. If the stain is still visible, repeat steps 2-4. Do not dry the fabric until the stain is completely gone, as heat can set the stain and make it more difficult to remove.
Here are some additional tips for removing melon stains:
- If you can't treat the stain immediately, store the stained fabric in a cool place until you can.
- Avoid using bleach on melon stains, as it can cause the stain to turn yellow.
- If the stain is on a delicate fabric, test the pre-treatment stain remover in a small, inconspicuous area before using it on the entire stain.
