How can you remove a smell from room?
1. Ventilate the room
* Open windows and doors to let fresh air in.
* Use a fan to circulate the air.
2. Identify the source of the smell
* Find the source of the smell and remove it if possible.
* If something that is causing the smell is visible, wash or dispose of it.
3. Clean the room thoroughly
* Vacuum the carpets and furniture.
* Mop the floors.
* Wipe down surfaces with a damp cloth.
4. Use baking soda
* Sprinkle baking soda on carpets and furniture and leave it for several hours.
Vacuum the baking soda up.
* Baking soda will help to absorb the smell.
5. Use white vinegar
* In a spray bottle mix 50/50 white vinegar and water.
* Spray the vinegar solution on carpets, furniture, and curtains.
* Let the solution sit for several minutes and then wipe it up.
6. Use essential oils
* Add a few drops of essential oil to a diffuser or vaporizer of water.
* The essential oil will help to mask the smell.
7. Use activated charcoal
* Place bowls of activated charcoal around the room.
* Activated charcoal will help to absorb the smell.
8. Use a commercial deodorizer
* There are a number of commercial deodorizers available that can help to remove smells from a room.
* Follow the instructions on the product label.
