How do you fix a dent in metal water bottle?
To fix a small dent in metal water bottle, use:
1. Boiling water
2. Pliers or a plunger
1. Using Boiling Water
- Fill the dented water bottle with hot water from a kettle or pot nearly to the top.
- Put the water bottle that still hot into the freezer section for 1-3 hours, or until the water is frozen.
- Remove the bottle and let it sit, upside down, on a towel for several minutes to allow condensation to form on the outside of the bottle.
- Using pliers or a plunger with a rubber end, firmly press the bottom of the bottle towards the dent to make the dent pop out into place.
2. Using a Plunger
- Make sure the bottle is completely free of water
- Place the bottle top down on a level surface
- Position the plunger over the dent so the suction cup or rubber end makes contact with the dent
- Push down and pull back on the handle of the plunger repeatedly, maintaining contact between the suction cup and the dent
- Continue this for a few minutes or until the dent pops out.
