What is nuka cola?
Nuka-Cola is a fictional brand of carbonated cola originally created for Interplay Entertainment's 1997 post-apocalyptic role-playing game Fallout and has subsequently appeared in all installments in the Fallout series. It is heavily stylized after Coca-Cola, even going so far as to use "Vault-Tec Quality Guaranteed" (a variation of Coca-Cola's own slogan, "Quality Guaranteed") as the brand's slogan, and featuring branding which references the real-life Coca-Cola Santa Claus.
In the Fallout universe, Nuka-Cola was first produced in 2044. The war which would cause the bombs that ultimately devastated America also caused the destruction of the bottling plants throughout the country, but its popularity did not wane, with numerous small regional bottlers throughout the nation rising up to fulfill demand.
After the War, Nuka-Cola was considered one of the most ubiquitous brands in the Fallout world, although its original flavor became less common, with "Nuka-Cherry" and "Nuka-Quantum" becoming the most popular variants by 2067 and Nuka-Cola "Classic" becoming difficult to find.
Nuka-Cola became synonymous with the concept of Americana and the pre-war era. Due to its popularity, and the fact that only a few facilities managed to survive, Nuka-Cola became a very powerful brand, having their own mercenary squad and even controlling entire towns, such as Nuka-Town, USA.
