Can you drink wine after having an embryo transfer 1 week?
No. You should not drink wine or any other alcoholic beverages after an embryo transfer. Alcohol can pass through the placenta and may reach the embryo. This can lead to fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS), a permanent condition characterized by physical and mental disabilities. Even a small amount of alcohol can have a negative impact on the developing embryo. Therefore, it is important to avoid alcohol completely during pregnancy and for at least two weeks prior to embryo transfer.
