How many ounces are in a serving of wine?
There's no single standard serving size for wine. It depends on the context:
* For nutritional labeling: A serving size of wine is generally considered to be 5 fluid ounces (148 ml). This is the standard used on wine labels and in nutritional information.
* In restaurants and bars: A typical glass of wine served at a restaurant or bar is usually 4-6 ounces (118-177 ml).
* For health recommendations: Health organizations like the Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommend limiting alcohol intake to one drink per day for women and two drinks per day for men. A "drink" is defined as 12 ounces of beer, 5 ounces of wine, or 1.5 ounces of hard liquor.
It's important to be mindful of your alcohol intake, regardless of the serving size.
