How long do turkey wings cook in the crockpot?

Slow Cooker (Crock-Pot) Turkey Wings

Ingredients

* 2 pounds turkey wings

* 1 tablespoon olive oil

* 1 teaspoon salt

* 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

* 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

* 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

* 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

* 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme

* 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary

* 1/4 cup chicken broth

* 1/4 cup white wine

* 1 tablespoon cornstarch

* 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the turkey wings, olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, thyme, and rosemary. Toss to coat.

2. Pour the turkey wings and any remaining marinade into the slow cooker. Add the chicken broth and white wine. Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours, or until the turkey wings are falling off the bone.

3. In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water to form a slurry. Stir this into the slow cooker and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.

4. Serve the turkey wings immediately, with your favorite sides.

Tips

* To make sure the turkey wings are cooked through, insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the wing. It should read 165 degrees F.

* If you don't have a slow cooker, you can also cook the turkey wings in the oven. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F and bake the wings for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until they are cooked through.

* Turkey wings are a great way to use up leftover turkey. Simply cook the turkey wings in the slow cooker with your favorite sauce, and enjoy!
