Can you juice fast while nursing?
Can I juice fast while breastfeeding?
No. Although juice can still be consumed on occasion (limit to 4-5 oz/portion size), juicing fasts should be avoided while nursing. It is very important for nursing mothers to have a balanced and nutritious diet to ensure that they are producing enough breast milk and providing adequate nutrition for their babies. Juices are not considered a balanced meal and therefore they should not be replaced with meals or solid food. Juices can also be high in sugar and calories and can disrupt your blood sugar levels. Drinking too much juice could also lead to dehydration and other health problems that could impact both the mother’s and baby’s health.
