How do you cook low fat turnip greens in slow cooker pot?
## Ingredients
* 1 pound trimmed turnip greens
* 1/4 cup chopped onion
* 1/4 cup chopped celery
* 1/4 cup chopped carrots
* 1/2 cup vegetable broth
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
* 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
* 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
Instructions
1. In a slow cooker, combine all ingredients.
2. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the greens are tender.
3. Serve immediately.
Tips
* To make the greens even more flavorful, add a smoked ham hock or some crumbled bacon to the slow cooker.
* If you don't have a slow cooker, you can also cook the greens on the stovetop. Simply bring all of the ingredients to a boil in a pot, then reduce the heat and simmer for 30-45 minutes, or until the greens are tender.
* Turnip greens are a good source of vitamins A, C, and K, as well as potassium and iron. They are also a good source of fiber, which can help to lower cholesterol and blood sugar levels.
