Is a hermit crab noturnal or diuural?

Hermit crabs are generally nocturnal, meaning they are most active at night. They are known to be quite shy during the day and will usually seek shelter in their shells or burrows. As nocturnal creatures, hermit crabs are well-adapted to low-light conditions and have excellent night vision. They use this adaptation to forage for food, find mates, and explore their surroundings in the darkness.
