Where are te taste uds on a starfish?

Starfish don't have taste buds in the traditional sense. They don't taste food the way we do!

Here's how they sense their food:

* Chemoreceptors: Starfish have tiny sensory cells called chemoreceptors on their tube feet, which are the small, sucker-like structures on their underside. These chemoreceptors can detect chemicals in the water, allowing the starfish to sense the presence of prey like mussels, clams, and other invertebrates.

* Touch: Their tube feet are also very sensitive to touch, helping them identify and grip food.

So, instead of having taste buds, starfish rely on these chemical and tactile senses to find and consume their meals.
