What do bull shark look like?

Body:

- Stocky and robust build

- Short, blunt snout

- Broad, rounded head

- Eyes are located high on the head

- Five gill slits on each side of the head

- Dorsal fin is located far back on the body

- Anal fin is located far back on the body

- Caudal fin (tail fin) is large and powerful

Colour:

- Grey or brown, sometimes tinged with olive or bronze

- White belly

- Dark dorsal fin

- Lighter caudal fin

Size:

- Can grow up to 11 feet (3.3 metres) in length

- Can weigh up to 500 pounds (227 kilograms)

Teeth:

- Large, triangular teeth

- Serrated edges

- Strong jaw muscles

Other Features:

- Has a very strong sense of smell

- Can detect prey from distances of up to 1000 feet (305 metres) away

- Very aggressive fish

- Known to attack humans
