When was the mane jellyfish discovered?

There is no such thing as a Mane Jellyfish. There may some confusion with the Lion's Mane Jellyfish which was first mentioned in writing by Norwegian zoologist Michael Sars in 1846 who referred to it by its Norwegian Common Name.
