What is the lower surface of starfish called?
The lower surface of a starfish is called the oral surface.
This is where the mouth is located, as well as the tube feet that help the starfish move and feed. The opposite side is called the aboral surface, which is where the anus and the madreporite (a small, sieve-like opening that allows water into the water vascular system) are located.
