What does the starfish use for shelter?

Starfish don't really use "shelter" in the same way that other animals do. They don't build nests, burrow, or hide in caves.

Here's why:

* They have tough skin: Their skin is hard and protective, offering some defense against predators.

* They can regenerate: If a predator does bite off a limb, they can grow it back!

* They camouflage: Many starfish blend into their rocky surroundings, making them difficult to spot.

Instead of seeking shelter, starfish rely on their natural defenses to protect themselves. They often live in rocky crevices or under seaweed for protection from currents and predators.
