Can you make shrimp scampi without wine?
Ingredients
* 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
* 1/4 cup olive oil
* 4 cloves garlic, minced
* 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
* 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
* Salt and pepper to taste
* 1 pound linguine, cooked according to package directions
Directions
1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook until they are pink and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side.
2. Add the garlic and parsley to the skillet and cook for 1 minute more.
2. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
3. Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss to coat. Serve immediately.
*Note:* If you don't have white wine on hand, you can substitute chicken broth or water.
