When you bake quiche do cover it?
You should cover your quiche while it bakes! Here's why:
* Even Baking: Covering the quiche with foil helps it cook evenly. The foil traps heat and steam, preventing the top from browning too quickly while the inside finishes cooking.
* Prevent Crust Over-Browning: The crust will brown more evenly and won't become too hard or burnt.
* Moist Filling: The cover helps to keep the filling moist and prevents it from drying out.
Here's how to do it:
* Cover with foil: Place a sheet of aluminum foil loosely over the quiche, making sure it doesn't touch the filling.
* Remove foil: About 15-20 minutes before the end of the baking time, remove the foil to allow the top to brown.
Note: Some recipes may call for the quiche to be baked uncovered, so always refer to your specific recipe for instructions.
