How do you compound feed for broilers and layers?
Compound feed for broilers:
1. Ingredients:
- Corn: 50-55%
- Soybean meal: 28-32%
- Fish meal: 5-7%
- Vegetable oil: 3-5%
- Premix: 1-2%
- Limestone: 1-2%
- Salt: 0.5-1%
2. Mixing Process:
- Mix the corn, soybean meal, fish meal, and vegetable oil in a mixer.
- Add the premix, limestone, and salt and mix thoroughly.
- Pellet the mixture using a pellet mill.
- Cool and dry the pellets.
- Store the pellets in a cool, dry place.
Compound feed for layers:
1. Ingredients:
- Corn: 40-45%
- Soybean meal: 18-22%
- Fish meal: 5-7%
- Vegetable oil: 3-5%
- Premix: 1-2%
- Limestone: 3-4%
- Salt: 0.5-1%
2. Mixing Process:
