How to Make Crispy Chicken Tenders Without Milk
Crispy chicken tenders make a satisfying meal or snack. Using fresh chicken on the inside and a crunchy coating on the outside, you can make your own crispy chicken tenders at home. You can even bake them instead of frying for a more healthful dish. But what if you or someone you're feeding can't have dairy products? While you could use a milk substitute, you can make crispy chicken tenders without using milk at all.
Things You'll Need
- 1 pound chicken tenders (or skinless, boneless chicken breast, cut into strips)
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1-1/2 cups bread crumbs
- 3 tbsp. vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper
- Seasonings (see Tips)
Prepare the Chicken Tenders

Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.

Line a baking sheet with foil. Spread vegetable oil on the baking sheet.

Beat the eggs lightly in a bowl. Season if desired.

Put the bread crumbs on a plate or in a shallow bowl.

Lightly season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper.

Dip the chicken, three or four at a time, into the egg dip. Lift the pieces one at a time with a fork, allowing extra egg to drip off.

Coat the tenders with bread crumbs, using the forks to coat them and lift them onto the pan.

Bake the chicken tenders in the oven for 20 minutes, turning them over after ten minutes. Check to see if they are done after 15 minutes.

Cool slightly and enjoy.
