Can you make fried salmon patties without eggs?

Egg-Free Salmon Patties:

Yields: 4-6 patties

Prep time: 15 minutes

Cook time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

* 1 lb. cooked salmon, flaked

* 1/4 cup finely chopped onion

* 1/4 cup finely chopped celery

* 1/4 cup bread crumbs (panko or regular)

* 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

* 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

* 1 teaspoon dried dill

* 1/2 teaspoon salt

* 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

* 1/4 cup milk or water

* Cooking spray or oil

Instructions:

1. Combine ingredients: In a large bowl, combine flaked salmon, onion, celery, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, Dijon mustard, dill, salt, and pepper.

2. Add liquid: Gradually add milk or water, mixing until the mixture is just moist.

3. Form patties: Shape the mixture into 4-6 patties, about 1/2 inch thick.

4. Cook: Heat a large skillet over medium heat and spray with cooking spray or add a little oil.

5. Fry: Fry the patties for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

6. Serve: Serve immediately with your favorite sides.

Tips:

* Use canned salmon: If using canned salmon, drain it well and remove any bones before flaking.

* Add other ingredients: Feel free to add other ingredients to your patties, such as chopped fresh herbs, capers, or lemon zest.

* Baking: You can also bake the patties instead of frying them. Preheat oven to 375°F and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.

* Binders: If the patties are too loose, you can add a tablespoon or two of mashed potato, cooked rice, or finely ground flaxseed meal to help bind them together.

Enjoy your delicious and egg-free salmon patties!
