Can glow fish live with neon tetras?

Glowfish, also known as GloFish, are genetically modified zebrafish (Danio rerio) engineered to exhibit vibrant fluorescent colors under black light. Neon tetras (Paracheirodon innesi) are small and colorful freshwater fish from South America famous for their vibrant blue-green and red/orange colorations which also intensify under specific lighting conditions. While they both require similar tropical water conditions with proper filtration and heater system, Glowfish is generally compatible with neon tetras. As these are fast and highly active schooling fish, it is recommended to keep glowfish in a moderately sized community tank in groups. Both glowfish and neon tetras prefer to occupy upper and middle aquarium regions and do not conflict for hiding zones or swimming territories. Therefore, glowfish and neon tetras can comfortably coexist and complement each other to offer an amazing colorful underwater display, especially under proper lighting arrangements.
