Is an 8 liter fish bowl big enough or should the person get a tank?
An 8-liter fish bowl is too small for most fish. The general rule is to allow 1 gallon (3.8 liters) of water per inch (2.5 cm) of fish length. For example, a 6-inch (15 cm) fish would need a minimum tank size of 18 gallons (68 liters). A betta fish, which is a small tropical fish, needs at least 5 gallons (19 liters) of water.
In addition to being too small, fish bowls are also not ideal for fish because they do not provide enough surface area for air exchange. This can lead to low oxygen levels in the water, which can stress fish and make them more susceptible to disease.
If you are considering getting a fish, please do your research to make sure you have the right size tank and are able to provide the proper care for your fish.
