How to Fry Pollock Fish (8 Steps)
Atlantic and Alaskan are the two types of Pollock fish. Both species of fish are similar in color and flavor. Pollock fish are a whitefish that have a strong to mild flavor. The fish are prepared using a variety of cooking methods such as baking, sauteing, and frying. Pan-frying the fish gives it a crisp exterior and it cooks the fish quickly over high heat. Serve the pollock fish bow tie pasta for a simple meal.
Things You'll Need
- Three to four pollock fillets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- Bowl
- Vegetable oil
- Heavy-bottom frying pan
- Paper towels
- Lemon wedges
Instructions

Rinse the pollock fillets under cool running water.

Combine the all-purpose flour with the salt and pepper in a bowl.

Dredge the pollock in the flour mixture.

Pour vegetable oil into the frying pan so that it sits 2-inches deep. Heat the oil on the stove top over high heat.

Place the pollock fillets into the hot oil once it begins to sizzle.

Cook the pollock until both sides are golden brown. The fish will cook quickly within four to five minutes.

Remove the pollock from the frying pan, the place it onto paper towels to drain.

Serve the fillets with a lemon wedge if you desire.
