What is the recipe to make your own Gunite including an acrylic cement bonding agent?
To make your own Gunite, you will need the following materials:
- Portland cement
- Sand
- Gravel
- Water
- Acrylic cement bonding agent
The proportions of these materials will vary depending on the desired strength and properties of the Gunite. However, a common recipe is:
- 1 part cement
- 2.5 parts sand
- 4 parts gravel
- 0.5 parts water
- 1% acrylic cement bonding agent
Instructions:
1. Mix the cement, sand, and gravel together in a dry mixer.
2. Add the water and acrylic cement bonding agent to the mixture and mix until well combined.
3. The mixture should be a consistent, soupy consistency.
4. Apply the Gunite to the desired surface using a spray gun.
5. Allow the Gunite to cure for at least 28 days before putting it into service.
Note:
- It is important to wear gloves and a dust mask when mixing and applying Gunite.
- Gunite is a hazardous material and should be handled with care.
