Instructions:
1. Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, combine the chicken with cornstarch, soy sauce, and vegetable oil. Mix well and set aside to marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours).
2. Prepare the sauce: In a saucepan, combine all the teriyaki sauce ingredients. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
3. Cook the chicken: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until browned and cooked through.
4. Combine chicken and sauce: Pour the teriyaki sauce over the chicken and toss to coat. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes until the sauce is absorbed by the chicken.
