What year did introduce chicken nuggets?

The first chicken nuggets were introduced in 1954 by Cornelius "Corny" DeVos, founder of the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) franchise.

While not the exact "chicken nugget" we know today, DeVos's creation was a hand-breaded, bite-sized piece of chicken that served as the precursor to the modern chicken nugget.

However, the McDonald's McNugget, which is generally considered the modern chicken nugget as we know it today, was not introduced until 1983.
