Can you use wax paper to bake chicken?
You should not use wax paper to bake chicken. Here's why:
* Wax paper melts at a low temperature. The wax will melt onto your chicken, potentially contaminating it and making it unsafe to eat.
* Wax paper is flammable. It could ignite in the hot oven, creating a fire hazard.
* Wax paper is not designed for high heat. It will tear and crumble, making it difficult to remove the chicken from the oven.
Instead of wax paper, use:
* Parchment paper: This is designed for baking and can withstand high temperatures.
* Aluminum foil: You can wrap your chicken in aluminum foil for a moist, flavorful bake. However, be sure to leave some space for steam to escape, or the chicken will be soggy.
* A baking sheet: Simply place your chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Remember, safety comes first when baking. Always use materials that are designed for the intended purpose.
