How to Make Fried Sweet Potatoes (4 Steps)
Fried sweet potatoes are an excellent side to any meal, lunch or dinner. If you are looking for a vegetable that tastes better than the average dessert, fried sweet potatoes are what you are looking for. The recipe takes less than 30 minutes to cook, including preparation time. Fried sweet potatoes can be paired with roast, chicken, steak or any other meat you desire.
Things You'll Need
- 2 large sweet potatoes
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- ½ nutmeg
- 1 cup sugar
- ¼ cup water
- Large skillet
- Peeler
- Knife
Instructions

Peel the sweet potatoes, and then slice the potatoes chip style.

Wash the potatoes, and then put ¼ cup of water in the skillet on medium-high heat.

Place the potatoes in the skillet, and let them cook until tender, turning them occasionally.

Add cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar on top. Let it all cook for about five additional minutes, turning occasionally. Serve.
