2. Wine - Wine is drunk at Passover to remember the blood that was smeared on the doorposts of the Israelite's homes when God struck down the first-born children of Egypt.
3. Maror - Bitter herbs are eaten at Passover to remind us of the bitterness of the slavery that the Israelites endured in Egypt.
4. Charoset - A mixture of nuts, fruit, and spices that symbolizes the mortar that the Israelites used to make bricks when they were slaves in Egypt.
5. Zeroa - A roasted shank bone that is a reminder of the pascal lamb that the Israelites sacrificed before leaving Egypt.
6. Beitzah - A roasted egg which symbolizes life and fertility or, in some traditions, the Temple sacrifice.
