Why non- diet soda change colour when react with Benedict solution?

Non diet soda does not change color when reacting with Benedict's solution. This is because non-diet soda contains no caloric sweetener, which is what reacts with Benedict's solution to produce a colorful reaction. Benedict solution can, however, react with other components of non-diet soda such as flavoring agents or other organic molecules, to change the color of the liquid.
