How does one determine how many fresh basil leaves make a cup?

1 cup = approximately 1 bunch of basil leaves (or 1/2 heaping cup chopped)
1 bunch = approximately 1 ounce
1 tablespoon chopped basil = approximately 1/2 cup loosely packed leaves
Notes
