What is heaping teaspoon?
A heaping teaspoon is a measurement of an ingredient which is added to a level teaspoon until the ingredient comes to a peak above the rim of the spoon, and then back to the level of the rim. This measurement may be used for granular or powdered ingredients, rather than liquid ingredients, and is frequently referred to in recipes, including those for baking.
