How to Make an Amaretto Tea (4 Steps)
A steaming cup of tea may not always soothe your nerves. Amaretto adds a rich flavor to basic teas. You can serve this tea cocktail in the winter months or in the summer months with ice. Some serve this drink with whipped cream to add thickness and a bit of sweetness to the drink. Other garnishes include a mint leaf or a cherry. As with all alcoholic drinks, you will do well to drink responsibly and avoid driving if intoxicated.
Things You'll Need
- 6 oz. hot tea of your preference
- Pousse-cafe glass
- Spoon
- 2 oz. Amaretto
- Whipped cream
- Mint leaf or cherry
Instructions
-
Pour 6 oz. hot tea into a pousse-cafe glass. This particular glass will not crack when filled with hot liquid. Leave a spoon in the glass as you pour the tea. Doing this will further prevent the glass from cracking.
-
Pour 2 oz. amaretto into the hot glass. There is no need to stir; the amaretto will sink and blend into the hot tea. Amaretto will add a sweet rich flavor that will complement this tea cocktail.
-
Apply whipped cream to the top of the glass before serving, and garnish with a mint leaf or a cherry.
-
Serve this drink on a coaster and make sure to warn the drinker that the beverage may not have cooled completely.
