Why did Carry Nation hate liquor?
Carrie Nation hated liquor because she believed it was the root of all evil and responsible for the downfall of many families and individuals. She was particularly opposed to the saloons and taverns that sold alcohol and believed that they should be closed down. Nation's hatred of liquor was also fueled by her personal experiences, as she had seen firsthand how alcohol could ruin lives. Her husband had been an alcoholic, and she had lost several family members due to alcohol-related problems. These experiences made her determined to fight against the sale and consumption of alcohol, and she became a leading figure in the temperance movement.
