Instructions for Orange Tang Instant Drink Mix
It may look like an artificial sweetener, but Tang contains a number of nutrients, including vitamins A, B-2, B-6 and E. This flavored powder was originally invented and manufactured for NASA astronauts to drink in space, gaining notoriety when used by astronaut John Glenn on the 1962 Mercury mission. You can mix orange Tang instant drink in next to no time.
Things You'll Need
- Glass or pitcher
- Alcohol (optional)
- Spoon or stirrer
Instructions

Fill an 8-ounce glass or a pitcher with cold water or an alcoholic beverage such as champagne or vodka, if making mimosas or mixed cocktails.

Add 2 1/2 teaspoons of powdered orange-flavored Tang mix, for each 8 ounces of liquid.

Stir the liquid and instant orange Tang mix with a spoon or stirrer until the powder dissolves.

Pour the Tang drink into a glass. Add ice, if you wish. Store the remainder of the Tang in the refrigerator.
