What mixture is instant coffee in water?

Here's why:

* Solution: A solution is a homogeneous mixture where one substance (solute) dissolves completely into another (solvent). Salt dissolving in water is a solution.

* Suspension: A suspension is a heterogeneous mixture where particles of one substance are dispersed throughout another but don't dissolve. The particles are large enough to be seen and will settle over time.

* Colloid: A colloid is also a heterogeneous mixture, but the particles are smaller than in a suspension and don't settle out as easily. Milk is a colloid.

Instant coffee particles don't fully dissolve in water. You can see them if you look closely, and they will eventually settle to the bottom of the cup. This makes it a suspension.
