Can you put instant coffee in a maker?
Instant coffee is not suitable for use in a coffee maker designed for ground coffee or whole beans. Instant coffee is produced by brewing ground coffee beans and then drying the resulting brew into crystals or powder form. It was made to dissolve directly in hot water.
Coffee makers usually brew ground coffee by passing hot water through the grounds held in a filter. Using instant coffee will clog the machine's filter and water flow pathways, possibly damaging the device. If you want to enjoy instant coffee, it's recommended to dissolve it in a cup using hot water and stirring, rather than attempting to use it in a coffee maker.
