When did gatorade come out?
Gatorade was invented in 1965 by a team of scientists at the University of Florida. The team, led by Dr. Robert Cade, was tasked with developing a drink that would help the Florida Gators football team perform better in the hot and humid Florida weather. The drink, which was originally called "Gatorade Thirst Quencher," was a success and was soon adopted by other sports teams and athletes. By 1983, Gatorade had become the official sports drink of the National Football League (NFL) and the National Basketball Association (NBA). Today, Gatorade is one of the most popular sports drinks in the world and is sold in over 80 countries.
