Can pecan pie be left on the counter for 24 hours?

Pecan pie should not be left unrefrigerated for more than two hours. Any longer and the pie will deteriorate in terms of safety and texture. Once the pie has cooled completely, it should be stored in the refrigerator for up to four days.
