  • Baked pie shell
  • 6 cups sliced strawberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • Masher
  • Saucepan
  • Spoon

Instructions

  1. Mash half the strawberries in a saucepan.

  2. Stir in the cornstarch and sugar, then cook on medium heat for 5 to 6 minutes. The strawberry mixture should thicken and be clear.

  3. Add the lemon juice and stir well.

  4. Remove the pan from the heat and allow to cool for 10 minutes.

  5. Stir in the rest of the strawberries and pour the mixture into the baked pie shell.
