How utilization of mango peelings into jelly?
Ingredients:
- 1 kg of ripe mango peelings
- 1 kg of sugar
- 1/2 cup of lemon juice
- 1/4 cup of water
- 1/2 teaspoon of pectin powder
Instructions:
1. Wash the mango peelings and cut them into small pieces.
2. In a large pot, combine the mango peelings, sugar, lemon juice, and water.
3. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
4. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the mango peelings are soft.
5. Add the pectin powder and stir until dissolved.
6. Bring the mixture back to a boil and cook for 1 minute, or until the jelly has thickened.
7. Remove from heat and pour the jelly into clean jars.
8. Let cool completely before sealing and storing in a cool, dark place.
Tips:
- For a smoother jelly, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve before pouring it into jars.
- You can add additional flavors to the jelly, such as vanilla extract, cinnamon, or cardamom.
- Jelly can be stored for up to 6 months in a cool, dark place.
