How long does pure vanilla last?
Pure vanilla extract, when stored properly in a cool, dark place in a tightly sealed container, can last for several years. Some manufacturers may recommend consuming the extract within two to three years for optimal flavor, but it is generally still safe to use beyond that date. Over time, the flavor and potency of pure vanilla extract may gradually decline, but it should remain usable for a considerable amount of time if stored properly.
