How to Make Mickey Mouse Cookies (6 Steps)
Mickey Mouse is a beloved spokesmouse of the Disney company. Mickey-shaped products, such as pancakes and cookies, can be found at the Disney theme parks, but you can make your own Mickey Mouse cookies at home. These are great to serve at a child's party. Even adults who grew up watching the Mickey Mouse Club on television will enjoy these. By starting with refrigerated cookie dough, you can save time in the preparation of these cookies.
Things You'll Need
- 1 package refrigerated cookie dough (preferably chocolate) Cookie sheet Parchment paper 1 (1-inch) cookie scoop (or small) 1 (1 1/2-inch) cookie scoop (or large)
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to the temperature listed on the cookie dough package, generally 350 degrees F.
-
Line the cookie sheet with the parchment paper.
-
Use the large cookie scoop to scoop out 6 large rounds of cookie dough. These are the Mickey "faces." Place them on the cookie sheet, evenly spaced with enough room on all sides to put two smaller scoops next to them for the "ears" so that the cookies will not touch the sides or each other.
-
Use the smaller scoop to form 12 scoops of dough and place 2 on the just touching the top of each of the "faces" to resemble Mickey ears. They should not touch the sides of the pan or the other Mickey shapes.
-
Bake the cookies in the oven according to the package directions. Remove from the oven and let cool completely before taking the cookies off the pan.
-
Make more cookies with leftover dough, by following Steps 3 through 5, if desired.
