Cookies Made With Devil's Food Cake Mix

Things You'll Need

  • 18 1/4-ounce package devil's food cake mix
  • Large mixing bowl
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp. of melted butter
  • 3 tbsp. of water
  • Wooden spoon or electric mixer
  • 1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup of chopped pecans (optional)
  • Cookie sheet
  • Cooking spray
  • Wire cooling racks

Instructions

  1. Pour one 18 1/4-ounce package of devil's food cake mix into a large mixing bowl. Add two eggs, 2 tbsp. of melted butter and 3 tbsp. of water.

  2. Mix the ingredients with a wooden spoon or an electric mixer on the "Low" setting until the batter is blended. Stir in a 1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips. Add 1/2 cup of chopped pecans if you desire.

  3. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Coat a cookie sheet with cooking spray. Scoop up tablespoons of batter and drop them onto the cookie sheet 2 inches apart.

  4. Bake the cookies for 11 minutes or until the edges are light brown. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and cool the cookies on wire racks prior to serving them.
